Health-data limitations
Effective October 27, 2026· NOW HEALTH is a product of 5th Echelon
NOW HEALTH is a consumer health-education tool. It is not presented as a certified clinical system, an electronic medical record, or a service approved for handling protected health information in a regulated care workflow.
1. No certification or compliance assurance
We do not claim HIPAA certification, SOC 2 attestation, ISO 27001 certification, HITRUST certification, or suitability for a covered entity’s regulated workflow. These statements cannot be inferred from the infrastructure providers we use. No business associate agreement or clinical deployment capability is offered through this application.
2. Browser storage is not a medical vault
Conversations, notes, and visit preparation are session-only by default. If you opt in, they are saved under an account-specific key in this browser. Browser storage is not end-to-end encrypted or protected from someone controlling your device or browser. Clearing browser data removes it; it does not synchronize with a cloud health record.
3. AI requires sharing the question
Questions and the conversation context you submit are processed by the selected AI provider through AI Gateway. This is not a zero-sharing service. Notes and visit preparation are not automatically sent to the model. Avoid identifiers, full medical records, and highly sensitive information.
4. Account access and local controls
Member routes verify the current session and active account. Privileged app actions also check server-side roles. Account-separated browser keys reduce accidental mixing; they are not a security boundary against someone with access to the browser. Profile data controls let you export or remove your account’s local tool data without deleting your shared account.
5. Questions or concerns
Use the Contact page for product, privacy, or security concerns. Do not send medical records or urgent health requests. For emergencies and crisis resources, see public support links. For data-use details, read the Privacy Policy.
